What Are Tree Injections?
Tree Injections are just as simple as they sound – they are shots for your trees. A solution is directly injected into the trunk so it can be transported to the rest of the tree via the vascular system. These injections are used to treat disease, eliminate invasive pests, and deliver essential nutrients to correct deficiencies.
How Do Tree Injections Work?
Tree Injections are a highly effective treatment methods for trees suffering from disease, infestation, or extreme nutrient deficiency.
Small holes are drilled into the trunk of the tree, going through the bark and other outer layers (such as the phloem and cambium) and stopping at the xylem. The xylem contains a sapwood layer that is responsible for transporting water and minerals throughout the entire tree. The appropriate formula, as determined by one of our trained technicians, is then pumped into the tree. The xylem vascular system does all the work after that, ensuring the product is distributed from the roots of the tree all the way to the canopy. Unlike other treatments, Tree Injections can provide protection for up to two years.
