How To Select
An Arborist
Choosing an arborist for your tree care needs in Toronto is not something that should be taken lightly. No two tree care companies are alike, so taking the time to make an educated decision will ensure your trees and shrubs are in the best hands.
Things to Consider
Quality tree care is essential to maintain the health and vitality of your trees and, consequently, the environment they are in. Selecting an arborist is an important step in ensuring that the work completed on your trees in done correctly and safely. When selecting a tree care company to work with, there are some important questions to ask:
Are They Licensed and Insured?
Ensuring your prospective arborist holds appropriate licensing and sufficient insurance coverage protects both of you in the event of an accident. Local Arborist holds a comprehensive liability policy with up coverage up to $5,000,000.
Do They Hold ISA Certification?
The ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) holds all its members to incredibly high standards. ISA certified arborists have extensive training and access to an arsenal of resources to support their tree care services. Local Arborist is proud to hold ISA certification.
What Kind of Reviews Have They Received?
The power of word of mouth is incredible. If you are interested in knowing what a company’s overall public image is, the best place to look is the reviews of past clients. The beauty of the modern age is that you can research a company with the click of a mouse. Check what customers say about Local Arborist.
Do They Provide an Estimate?
Many companies, like Local Arborist, offer complimentary estimates for tree care work. Offering an estimate on proposed work shows a certain level of transparency and integrity. It is important to note that estimated cost alone is generally not a great gauge for accuracy – low prices do not equate to best work. However, if you are able to obtain an estimate from a few different companies, you can compare what they offer and make an informed decision as to which company best aligns with your needs.
Take Your Time
The takeaway from all of this is the importance of taking a deep breath and not rushing your decision. With a little bit of research, you can find a lot out about a company – from the quality of their work to their company values.
